Title: Remarks on Well-posedness of SQG Equation

Abstract: In this talk, we will first review recent results on well-posedness of surface quasi-geostrophic equation (SQG). Then we will present a new and elementary proof of the local existence and uniqueness of the classical solution to the Cauchy problem of the two-dimensional generalized surface quasi-geostrophic equation (including SQG) via the method of the contraction mapping principle.
