Abstract:In 2008, Musiker-Schiffler-Williams proved the positivity for cluster algebras from surfaces by giving the expansion formulas for the cluster variables, in terms of perfect matching, $\gamma$-symmetric perfec matching and $\gamma$-compatible perfect matching. In this talk, we will first recall their expansion formulas, then we introduce two lattices to give new expansion formulas for one end tagged notched and two ends tagged notched cluster variables. If time permits, I will explain how to generalize the new formulas to the quantum case.
